Archive of Spatial Knowledge 2
The multimedia installation serves as an activation piece of the digital platform of the Archive of Spatial Knowledge.
Please visit the dedicated page for more information about the archive project.
The archive's physical installation is designed to engage with audiences and represent the platform in the context of an exhibition. The installation features defensive barricade structures that serve as canvases for displaying archive essays in a scrolling text format. Three structures, each featuring three beams, accommodate the nine authors and essays that make up the first volume of the archive. Each line of text represents a single person and their narrative. The sculptures enable the archive's stories to occupy the exhibition spaces and hold their ground, allowing viewers to read the stories contributed to the archive in
an exhibition setting.
The installation was developed during the Art-Science Residency at the Ars Electronica festival, in collaboration with the Sustainable AI Lab of the University of Bonn. The project was supported by Creative Industries Fund NL and Art Collection Deutsche Telecom.
