In the projection installation on a surface of oil and sand, pools of water are means
of saving memories, reflecting the images of the lost world. Like puddles of rain they sometimes overflow and connect to one another in a stream of memory. Acquiring direction, they make sense of all that was. This is when they make a stream.
The installation was set up at the
Design Academy Eindhoven, in June, 2017.
Pools, a Stream
Installation
In the projection installation on a surface of oil and sand, pools of water are means
of saving memories, reflecting the images of the lost world. Like puddles of rain they sometimes overflow and connect to one another in a stream of memory. Acquiring direction, they make sense of all that was. This is when they make a stream.
The installation was set up at the
Design Academy Eindhoven,
June, 2017.
The installation was presented with
the following description:
Pools of memory reflect expendable days, spent in
the shade of all that is dear. They guard the shimmering
light of minutes absent in pictures. Lands of wandering
thought, they escape those who see clear.
Pools are puddles of rain, when they appear reversing
the drought. Sometimes the puddles overflow, connect to
one another in a stream of memory. Acquiring direction,
they make sense of all that was. This is when they
make a river.
