Material Experiment

The experiment started as a stack of posters glued onto the outdoor poster pillar in Hamburg, Germany. A dense material concealed in itself thirteen years worth of the city’s history. Layering of images with time, similar to the formation of the wood grain, inspired the usage of woodworking techniques in exploring its properties.

The experiment started as a stack of posters glued onto the outdoor poster pillar in Hamburg, Germany. A dense material concealed in itself thirteen years worth of the city’s history. Layering of images with time, similar to the formation of the wood grain, inspired me to work on the material in ways similar to woodworking.
